After a rough week, I needed to go out and shop. So, I made a lot of purchases (all will be blogged about). Of course, I made a the journey down to the J. Crew Men's Shop on Broadway in SoHo. J. Crew sells XS and that's rare. I found the Thomas Mason collection in the back of the store and decided to try on the shirts. Usually, an XS from J. Crew is tent-like when I put it on and it's too long (but still fits better than any other shirt out there). I was shocked to find out that the Thomas Mason shirt fit PERFECTLY. It formed to my body and hit the right length that I do not even need to tuck in the shirt. So I bought the shirt.

I am never a huge Gucci fan but this collection has so many positives: color choices, fits and styles. That peach/salmon color was unexpected and surprisingly delightful. The colors flow together well and max well. A play of dark and light make it fun. I also enjoy the same but different looks. You know it's a collection since the looks resemble one another and use the same pallet. I am a fan of this collection for sure.

Bottega Veneta is one if my favorite designers. Between his runways shows and campaign ads, the creativity is all there. This collection is purely the classic man. It encompasses a lot of texture which is great for a F/W collection. I would wear just about every piece. Looking the through the collection I must have said "OMG," "Can't handle it" and "I need this!" It's an amazing collection. Can I make enough money to buy it all? Thanks.

Dolce & Gabbana always use interesting patterns and colors. Of course, they chose my least favorite color, red. However, a lot of the pieces are a shade of gray (which, of couse I love). This collection is straight out of the early 1900s. There are a lot of military inspired pieces as well as classic pieces that combine the 1920s with the 1940s. Basically, it encompasses the World War eras. I extremely enjoy this collection but the fit is not something I like. There fits are big and baggy--not my style, but I admire the looks. Of course, my favorite part of the collection is the color: gray. It encompasses many shades--all of which I like and want.

I really enjoyed watching the collection. I love a lot of the coats and looks. The plaid coats are my favorite. I tried on this suit jacket in TopMan and loved it, but it was $280. It was an ultra skinny fit and a size 34 aka extremely rare. But I figured, that I should probably not spend all my money on one item. I went home and checked out TopMan's online store. I was astonished to find that the same jacket was $100 online. I used my student discount and got it for $80. I feel proud of this awesome purchase.

The peacoat should be a staple in everyone's wardrobe. Now that winter season has begun, I have brought mine out from the depth of my closet. The one above is from American Apparel. They make my size so I bought it. If you do not have one, GET ON IT!

Also, whenever I wear my peacoat, I think about the Stuff White People Like's post. #hilarious

Lined Pants?

After barely surviving four Boston winters and now having to take on NYC, I think lined pants will help any one defeat the cold. But, I am not a fan of having the print show. No one really needs to know your pants of lined. So, get the pants, just do not flaunt it.

It's always hard to find pants that fit me. Since I am short and skinny, pants are either too long or too big. Usually I look like I am swimming in them. However, Dockers has created a slimmer fit! Finally, I can buy khaki pants that fit.

OMGLEE! This cover of Details is by far my favorite. I do miss the chest hair of Matthew Morrison, but this is gorgeous. I cannot wait to see the photo spread. Can the magazine come quicker in the mail? Thanks.

How To Scarf
